Before you begin, activate the plugin on ChatGPT Plus:
→ Click on the three dots in the lower left corner
→ Go to Settings, then Beta Features
→ Activate plugin functionality
Here's how to use it to chat with a PDF (up to 200 pages):
1. Install AskYourPDF / Chatwith PDF
In the plugin store, find and install the plugin
It's 100% free, just find it in the list.
2. Upload your PDF
Open a new tab and go to the website linked to the plugin:
askyourpdf.com/upload
Upload the PDF you want to chat with and get its ID at the end.
3. Enter the first prompt
Return to the ChatGPT conversation (with the plugin enabled) and ask your question.
Don't forget to paste the ID you just copied.
Prompt → What is this file about? File ID: XXX
4. Ask all your questions
It's over!
You can ask all the questions you want, give a summary, etc.
Prompt (Example) → Give me the name of the company and summarize its financials in a short list of bullet points.
